2024 Event Highlights

Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship Brought a World-Class Fight Production to South Dakota

One of the most successful and popular events of the 84th Rally was the amazing show put on by BKFC fighters in the Sturgis Buffalo Chip amphitheater on Aug. 3. A massive audience enjoyed 10 bouts of bare knuckle fighting headlined by the world strawweight championship title in which Britain Hart defeated Taylor Starling after all five intense rounds. Fans were even treated to a surprise appearance from world-famous MMA fighter and part BKFC owner Conor McGregor.

Rock ‘N’ Roll Led Nine Nights of the Best Music in Sturgis

Music fans celebrated an incredible music lineup featuring the number one and two requested artists to play the Sturgis Rally according to Buffalo Chip polls – Jelly Roll and Kid Rock. Both these artists brought the largest audiences of rally week.

The Return of Daredevil Wednesday Brought a Show Like No Other on Earth

A Buffalo Chip tradition for years returned in the grandest fashion on Wednesday of the Rally. Daredevil Wednesday included heart-pounding stunts including Blake Wallenda walking a highwire through the amphitheater, Kyle Ives and crew dazzling the crowd with highflying motorcycle jumps, Shawn Ives smashing through a wall of fire while strapped to the hood of a limo, drift shows providing an additional element of danger and, of course, the epic Monster Wall Smash tradition blasting into the hearts of everyone in attendance.

Charity Events Raised Record Amounts and Broke Attendance Records

Through the generosity of the motorcyclists visiting the Sturgis Rally, Buffalo Chip Charity events raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for worthy causes benefitting children, Special Olympics athletes, veterans and the local community. Some highlights include near record attendance for Biker Belles®, a new start location for the Legends Ride® and a record of nearly $390,000 dollars raised during the Buffalo Chip’s Rusty Wallace Ride, to name a few.

Buffalo Chip Custom Series Reached New Heights

No where on earth can you find 13 custom bike shows in a matter of days all in one location…except at the Sturgis Buffalo Chip. This year’s record number of bike shows and world-renowned show promoters brought in the best custom machines and the most talented builders from around the globe. The Custom Series presented by Gates Belt Drive also featured the largest prize packages anywhere in Sturgis including the Evo Entanglement show, which boasted over $35,000 in cash and prizes. The Buffalo Chip Custom Series reached its climax on the final Friday when Ryan Gore and Peter Racely were presented with Custom Series King Award on the Main Stage for their beautiful Panhead Bobber.
