Sturgis Buffalo Chip® rock onslaught is announced to round out the 2017 lineup.
Sturgis, SD (July 18, 2017) – The addition of 13 more acts, including chart-topping rock bands Blue Oyster Cult and All That Remains completes the 2017 Sturgis Buffalo Chip® band lineup, leaving no doubt that “Largest Music Festival in Motorcycling®” is again presenting another spectacular lineup. The Buffalo Chip has already announced dozens of legendary artists who cater to classic rock, heavy metal and country music fans such as Ozzy Osbourne, The Doobie Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, blink-182, George Thorogood and the Destroyers, Shinedown, Justin Moore and many more. Some of the world’s top party bands have also made the list including Pop Evil, Alter Bridge, Blackberry Smoke, RATT, Night Ranger, Drowning Pool and Trapt. Blue Oyster Cult, best known for their mega hit, “Don’t Fear (The Reaper),” will perform on the Wolfman Jack Stage for the festival’s grand final on Saturday, Aug. 12. They are credited as one of the pioneers of music videos, and helped to propel MTV to success with their videos, particularly “Burnin’ For You.” Melodic-metalcore maniacs, All That Remains will perform on the Wolfman Jack Stage Friday, Aug. 11. They’ve sold over a million records world-wide and recently released their eighth album, “Madness.”
Bands also making the cut, with the help from global emerging artist music platform ReverbNation, to perform on the Chip’s legendary Wolfman Jack Stage include BC & The Big Rig, Madame Mayhem, Carolina Wray, Stolen Rhodes, Jimmie Bratcher and The Dirtboxwailers. Those chosen to perform on the Buffalo Chip’s six showcase stages include The Hawkeyes, Charlie Brechtel Band, Well Hung Heart, Big Skillet, DJ Hulio and The Buffalo Dreamers.
